How Close is God?
How Close is God? Have you ever wondered this? Ever felt like he isn't anywhere near?
Like your all alone?
The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; Do not be discouraged.
Deuteronomy 31:8
How close is God? God is closer than your breath and closer than your skin. Philippians 4:5 tells us to never forget the nearness of your God. How much does he care for you? His Word Tells us:
He knows our names (John 10:3).
He numbers the hairs on our head (Matthew 10:30).
He counts the steps of our feet (Job 14:16).
He bottles the tears from our eyes (Psalm 56:8, RSV).
He holds our right hand in His hand (Psalm 73:23).
The Lord is full of Compassion and Mercy. (James 5:11)
He created my inmost being; He knit me together in my mother's womb. (Psalm 139:13)
I hope this will be an encouragement to you this week!
Know You are Loved, Thought of & Prayed for!
Love Ya

I am Beautiful! Repeat After me... I am BEAUTIFUL!
In Middle Schools Girls Group we talked tonight about the treasure God has for us... (Matthew 13:44-46) Will you let go of the dime store pearls to get the real thing? I challenged the girls to let God's Truths penetrate their hearts, and we made some fun picture frames with our favorite, encouraging scriptures. I gave each girl a task so if your reading this and didn't make it here's your task: Look at yourself in the mirror, look directly into your eyes and say I AM BEAUTIFUL!, now say it again and mean it! Your were created by a loving God.
What Scripture did I put in my picture frame? 1 Peter 3:3-4 Don't depend on things like fancy hairdos or gold jewelry or expensive clothes to make you look beautiful. 4Be beautiful in your heart by being gentle and quiet. This kind of beauty will last, and God considers it very special.
Each day look in the mirror and say I AM BEAUTIFUL! REPEAT until you mean it!
Find scripture that encourages you and write it down post it on your mirror, in your locker, anywhere that you can see it everyday, learn it and believe it. Need help finding one? Just ask I'd be glad to send some your way!
Have a Beautiful Week!
Know you are Loved, Thought of and Prayed for!

I am a Masterpiece!
Ephesians 1:11-12 (MSG) It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.
SO what are you living for? Do you seek the approval of those around you? Are you looking to the world to tell you who you are, what's right and wrong, whats Beautiful, Acceptable? Don't fret(worry) you don't have to! I know it's hard, I still do sometimes look to those around me to get approval to make me feel like I have value. But God's word tells us differently. In the above scripture He is saying Look at me (Christ) to find out who you are, not the world!) I(God) created you, perfectly the way you are. Do you believe that? Moles, Glasses, Short stumpy legs, etc.. and all God created you perfectly in His Image! (Psalm 139:13-16, Jeremiah 29:11, 2 Corinthians 3:18)
Everyone has inside them a piece of good news. The good news is you don't know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is!-- Anne Frank --
Do you know that good news inside of you? Do you know how great you are! Right now! My wish, wait scratch that my prayer for you is that you would see it, know it, and believe that you have something great inside.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Workmanship or Poiema can also mean Work of Art, Masterpiece! We are God's Masterpiece. I like to think of our lives like Stained Glass window. All the broken glass, stained with our failures, triumphs, sins, pains, joys etc.. all those things in our life that we can not see how they fit with a life God has called us to. But like an Artist God puts all that broken, stained glass together to make us into a masterpiece, a work of art. He choose us! He Loves us! Right where we are, but he loves us to much to allow us to sit there. He gave us each a plan and a purpose, and God has given each of talents, gifts to use. Will you look for those in yourself? Will you ask God what your purpose is? Will you seek out your value in His truths or keep allowing the world to tell you who you are? It's my hope that you will begin to see yourself the way God does BEAUTIFUL! LOVED! VALUABLE! A MASTERPIECE! Ok repeat after me: I AM BEAUTIFUL! (come on say it) I AM LOVED! (believe it!) I AM A MASTERPIECE! (Now repeat it until you do believe it)
Girls you are Beautiful, Loved, Thought of and Prayed for! Stop letting the world around you define you! I am praying this for you!
Love ya Christina
