Tonight at Girls Group we made some super cute warm blankets for babies in Augusta/Butler County. We talked about Jonah too (more on that later this week!) It was so sweet to watch the girls in teams to sit and chat and tie the blanket, knowing that soon a sweet baby will be wrapped in it. That the girls were serving others, giving up some of their time to share love with babies/families they may never meet! <3 So very proud of each of them! We ended the meeting with prayer for the babies and families that will receive them! God you are so good!
Today I wanted to share with you some truths! All to often we believe the lies that we aren't enough (pretty enough, smart enough, good enough, popular enough, etc...). I believed the lies all through my teen years. I tried all kinds of things to be the person I thought others wanted me to be. I didn't like my self, and often felt shame from what I did, but I didn't think or know that there was any other way to live! So I struggled for a very long time with who I was, and made a lot of bad choices along the way. I thought that if I did what I thought others wanted then they would like me. I was wrong! And I payed for that in big ways! I was well into my twenties maybe not truly till I hit my thirties that I began to love myself! That's too long to wait! So I thought I'd do something about so that you aren't feeling the same way I did for so long!
I believe that God got me through those terrible years, even when I didn't know Him so that I could be an encouragement to you!
Psalm 139: 13 You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mothers womb.
Ephesians 1:4-5 For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In Love He predestined us to be adopted as His (daughters) sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will.
God created us knew us before we were born whether we acknowledge Him or not He knows us!

Our world tries to make us think that we have to look a certain way to be Beautiful but God tells us in His word something Different!
Genesis 1:27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
If God created us in His image, who are we to say that what He created is anything less than Beautiful!
Know this: YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL JUST THE WAY YOU ARE!
The World makes us believe we aren't enough we always have to strive for more! More things = better life! That is a lie!
Hebrews 13:5-6 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; 6 So we say with confidence, never will I forsake you.”“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Him who gives me strength
God Tells us we are enough, that through Him we can do anything, and He will never leave us! That brings me so much encouragement, to know that I am not alone!
We will be tempted to do bad things but we can choose not to do them! It will not be easy to resist but we can if we depend on God.
1 Corinthians 10: 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it
Hebrews 11:40 God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
He wants good things for us! He gives us a way out!
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
He forgives us when we fail him, when we sin, when we choose our way instead of His!
Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Psalm 118:5 When hard pressed, I cried to the LORD; he brought me into a spacious place
Psalm 31:7 I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction
and knew the anguish of my soul.
Girls Don't believe the lies! Seek out the truth for yourself! Know God's word and His truths and how they apply to you!
Know you are Loved, thought of, and Prayed for!

Thanks for ana awesome night to all the girls who were able to come out and share in some yummy treats, and the hot weather! Inspite of the heat we had a small fire roasted some marshmellows (maybe even burnt a few) and made some yummy gooey smores! I am sure with the heat we could have just let them sit out for a bit and been fine! :) A fun time was had by all! We had a devotion: The Smartest Teenager in the World! So ladies think before you jump! You don't want to be like that smartest teenager and go down with out a parachute. I am praying for you as this school year begins, that you will seek out what God has for you! That you will dig into His word, and desire a relationship with Him (God) that is all your own! John 14:6. Jesus answered, " I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

SMORE'S ~N~ MORE

Join us as we come together to have one last bash before school starts and to help kick off the upcoming school year! Sunday was the girls tea party and I was so excited as everything came together for it! Below are a few pictures! We had a great group of middle school girls some pretty sweet high school girls a youth intern and 4 Amazing Ladies that helped get things ready! It was so fun! The tables were so pretty and each one different, unique, and beautiful like the woman who decorated it! A sweet story was shared about how we are set apart, like a fine china plate, to be treasured and valued! May you shine like the china plate and serve God! <3

In a Wealthy Home there are dishes made of Gold and Silver as well as some made from wood and clay. The expensive are used for guests, and the other cheap ones are used in the kitchen or to put garbage in. If you stay away from sin you will be one of these dishes made of the purest gold-the very best in the house so Christ himself can use you for His highest purpose.
